 DISTRICT DATABASES

 

 

Note: The usernames and passwords for the databases can only be accessed within the district by going to the Bulletin Boards icon at the bottom right corner of the Stewart Elementary School Library catalog page and viewing the Usernames and Passwords for Databases bulletin. For use outside the district, please contact Mr. Jarzombek for usernames and passwords.   

 

EBSCO - EBSCO contains 35 databases for research and information purposes in a variety of formats such as magazines and newspapers. An academic database and one encyclopedia are available in Spanish. Images can be searched in Searchasaurus.

 

Encyclopedia Britannica (English or Spanish) - Encyclopedia Britannica offers a wealth of encyclopedic information as well as Learning Materials spanning the breadth of TEKS-aligned online exercises, study guides, manipulatives and research study skills. This product boasts of a PK-2 online Learning Zone capturing the alphabet, numbers, colors and other reading readiness concepts. In addition, a Spanish language encyclopedia is available for both elementary and secondary students which include science videos, images, timelines and more!

 

Learn360 - Learn360 provides educational videos on-demand to support the curriculum for access in the classroom, library media center, and at home.

 

Teaching Books - Teaching Books offers author and illustrator interviews and content for the classroom with curriculum ties and TEKS standards alignment.

 

World Book Online - World Book Online supports all curriculum content but has a focus on Texas History with a rich content of data, biographies, maps, timelines, and more! Inclusive is a limited Spanish encyclopedia.
